With more than 80% of Uruguay's territory dedicated to livestock grazing on natural and improved pastures, cattle spend virtually all of their lives outdoors — free from confinement, fed on natural nutrition, and managed without the systematic use of hormones or antibiotic growth promoters.

Wastewater Treatment
All processing wastewater is treated in compliance with DINAMA standards before discharge. We maintain treatment records subject to regulatory inspection and continually invest in wastewater management infrastructure.
Solid Waste Management
Processing by-products and solid waste are managed through approved channels. Non-edible materials are processed through licensed rendering and disposal facilities, minimizing landfill contribution from our operations.
Energy Efficiency
We actively pursue opportunities to improve energy efficiency across our refrigeration systems, processing equipment, and facility operations. Uruguay's national grid is one of the cleanest in South America, with a high proportion of renewable energy generation.
Water Conservation
Water is a critical resource in meatpacking operations. We monitor water consumption across all facility zones and implement best-practice conservation measures to reduce per-unit water usage without compromising hygiene or food safety standards.
Low Carbon Footprint
Uruguay's grass-fed, pasture-based cattle production system has a significantly lower carbon footprint per kilogram of beef than intensive grain-based feedlot systems. Sequestration through permanent grasslands partially offsets methane emissions from cattle.
