What Makes a Successful Long-Term Sourcing Relationship
The most productive buyer relationships we have are built on transparency from both sides — buyers who understand their market requirements and can specify what they need, and a supplier who communicates clearly on availability, pricing, lead times, and documentation. At Sirsil SA, we take a long-term view of every commercial relationship. We are not a spot-market supplier; we are a consistent, reliable source of premium Uruguayan beef for buyers who want predictability in their supply chain.
Whether you are sourcing Uruguayan beef for the first time or an established importer looking to diversify your origin mix, our commercial team responds within 48 business hours, provides competitive FOB Montevideo pricing, and supports you through the qualification and documentation process for your market.
We regularly supply buyers in over 60 countries across Europe, Asia, the Americas, and the Middle East — ranging from first-container test shipments from new buyers to multi-container regular programmes with established import partners. Both are equally welcome.
Frequently Asked Questions from New Partners
What is the minimum order for a first shipment?
Generally, our commercial minimum is a full container load (FCL) — approximately 20–25 metric tons in a 40ft reefer container. For first-time buyers establishing a relationship, we are open to discussing smaller initial trial shipments on a case-by-case basis.
What payment terms do you offer?
Standard terms for new buyers are Letter of Credit at sight (LC). Established buyers with a proven payment track record can negotiate T/T (bank transfer) with deposit and balance against shipping documents.
Can you supply mixed containers?
Yes. Established buyers can consolidate hindquarter, forequarter, and offals into a single FCL to optimise container utilisation and reduce per-kilo freight cost. Mixed loads are available once an initial single-product shipment has been completed.
Do you provide documentation support?
Yes. Our export documentation team manages the full package: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, official veterinary health certificate, certificate of origin, and any applicable Halal, Kosher, GACC, or Hilton Quota certificates. We have experience with import documentation requirements across all major markets.
